Just to let you know, I am still keeping diligent track of the reports and will post an update before Saturday night- so please keep the hears of songs- Christmas and other songs alike, coming. Then, you all can probably take until about Jan. 4 to report hears that come later- but only ones heard before 2008 begins. Shortly into January I will try to get the final report.

Trekker, I love your account of grocery store dancing to "The Christmas Waltz." I bet the clerks told all their family and friends- and I bet they will remember who the artist was who inspired the dance, too.

Looks like it's back to normal again... KOST and 106.9 have stopped playing Christmas music... but Carpenters are still being played in quite a few places.

Thanks, ps....like I said, it was a spontaneous, magical moment-like most of us have with our significant others. On the way home from work today, "Home for the Holidays" played on the radio. Naturally, I sang along, tapping the steering wheel-until a semi almost ate the front of my SUV ( just kidding!! ).

Yes, it's back to normal. I already miss just being able to flip on a radio and being able to hear Carpenters regularly.
Now I have to resort to internet radio for most of my 'hears' again.

Hey O.E. you are so dedicated... you've kept this going all year that is great. You are one in a million.

By the way all of you who listen to Pop Goes The 70's on Live365... they will be moving to a new station sometime in January... don't worry though they will keep the same 70's format and will continue to play tons of Carpenters... they even plans on getting Karen's solo album. I will post the URL when it is available.

Yes, these songs were all heard after January 1st. In fact, I heard them all yesterday. The website I used was www.pandora.com.

You can choose your type of music and they play an assortment from the style of artists you choose. For every 10 songs that would play, I would hear a Carpenter tune. It is soooo great!!
