Almost an instant replay of the event I reported in the "Your neck of the woods" section of different light: today I walked into the same grocery store as last week, once again it was so crowded and noisy I didn't even notice the stereo system, until once again it was the voice of Karen Carpenter- that caught my ear- this time with "Home For The Holidays." No one singing along this time, though.

Hit the grocery store very,very early this morning with my girlfriend-hardly anyone there, which was a welcome relief from the usual "Indy 500" atmosphere @ Christmas time. Within 3 minutes of entering the store, we heard loud & clear, "Christmas Waltz". My girlfriend & I looked @ one another, stopped the shopping cart & started dancing-right in the middle of the aisle. The 2 clerks who were in the same aisle just stood there & smiled. It was pure Magic!! We danced thru the whole song, and the clerks started clapping when we were done. Karen's voice just filled the whole place-it was a very special moment!!!
