:'(HAVE A GOOD AND SAFE TRIP TIM...Top of the World surely comes to my mind whenever I fly and my face is glued to the window because if the weather is clear I'm just fascinated by the whole experience.

Today I was listening to the first disc in the "Carpenters from the top" box set- the selections are quite similar but not identical to "Ticket to Ride". I was very taken by "All Of My Life", which I see was an early number and one of many which featured a superb job by Karen on drums as well as with the lead vocal- her range is impressive. The arrangement and mix of the instruments sure stood out- Richard is a musical genius. Given my methodical listening habits, I'm sure this one will be im my head (and C.D. player) for many days to come. O.E.

Name just about any tune on the sadder side of things, and that will fit my overall me and mood...especially yest. but some today... "A Place to Hideaway" probably covers it altogether... but.. tomorrow will be BeTTeR! and just to connect up on this hot night to all you out there.. is really a pick-me-up! hey the song "Can't We stop hurting each other " comes to mind also... Anyway....!

Katt: I hope by today you're feeling better about things......How about your song for the day being "Look To Your Dreams..." It's a positive uplifting song, and I just feel sure things are looking up already. Hang in there....... Tim

???Yes, I love all these songs you mention also Rick....thanks again so much... It's because friends are for keeps is a very nice thought. In fact that was one of the main reasons I felt naturally blue yest. because I attended a friend of mine's funeral. And even though, she was ready for suffering to end, of course it still hurts. She surely did not want anyone to grieve though and so the minister even told a few funny things that occurred with Mary and her family. anyway......that's how that goes.... I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO JUST APOLOGIZE A LITTLE EVEN THOUGH Y'ALL MADE ME FEEL BETTER....I really didn't mean to be "poor pitiful me"...! s

Hi Kathy... what a great song of the day!!! "Boat To Sail" is one of my all-time favorites. You've worded it perfectly. I also love that "laid back barefoot" feel of the song. Eventough it was my song of the day recently I also chose "Boat To Sail" as my SOTD for today. It's has a very "California" feel to it.

The past 2 days, I've listened to the As Time Goes By album, it's one of my favorites. I love all the medleys. Especially the Perry Como....I love the "impromptu" feel about all these songs. I love "Catch a Falling Star" which Karen sings with Como. "Love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night" Other songs are sung, and then closing of the Como group, the great harmony that's sung.. "no other love have I"... Such memorable performances put together are just so great. And the fact that R. and K. paid respect and honor to such legendary people such as Como, Ella Fitzgerald...and many others makes me appreciate the C's even more.

Those medley's are great. I enjoy listening to the 1980 Medley "We've Only Just Begun", from the Essential Collection . I think i'm going to buy that "As Time Goes By"
