My SOTD is (Im Caught Between) Goodbye And I Love You from Horizon. This is one of those Carp songs that I listen to on my headpnones and absorb every note Karen sings every nuance (sp?) in her voice and every instrument in the arrangement. For me this is a perfect song Karens voice is beyond great on this song and I love everything about it. The lyrics, vocals and music just give me chills. I love this song!   |

 SOTD for me - I Won't Last A Day Without You....such a beautiful song. I have always enjoyed listening to it - not only do I relate it to perhaps a "significant other" but to my friends, as well. The lyrics are easily transferable. Karen has that chill factor quality on this one, and the wonderful harmonies get me every time. What a great song to wake up thinking about. I hope each of you have a wonderful day today, and remember...."one look at you and I know that I could learn to live without the rest.....I've found THE BEST!" Tim

It had never occurred to me before, but I think it is very fitting to choose "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" as the Carpenters' Song of the Day. My rationale for this will be clearer to you if you read my posting under the discussion thread "Third Anniversary" for this special occasion. (Coincidentally, I happened to have savored some wonderful gumbo and jambalaya this past weekend!)

My song of the day is "Those Good Old Dreams". What a nice warm feeling song. I really do like it quite a bit. It's one of those songs that eventhough it's not a Christmas song, it's perfect for the Christmas season. |
