I'm with you too Tim..., I'm going through tough time myself and it's only the beginning.
Since I don't have a CD or DVD player, my Song Of The Day will have to be from my VHS collection..., *Thank You For The Music* from The Tonight Show(1978) will make my day..., such a sunshiny song..., just like the weather in Montreal since 10 days. *Off Topic*
Speaking of VHS, I recieved the Carpenters tv program that played on Australian TV two months ago(the one Nessie talked about)..., ' got it from my good Van Halen Aussie fan Simon(he and his wife are new Carpenters fans for a couple of months now).
It's not playing on my VHS player though..., I guess I'll have to go to someplace where they convert VHS.
He also sent me the Aussi TV guide article about the program, nice Carpenters pic. When I'll have my computer back, I'll scan the article/pic and post it on here. ;D
Well, that's it for me..., time's up...

Hi everyone...
April 2005 is one of the most painful time(if not the most) of my life...
As you know, 10 days ago, my computer broke down and I'm still waiting for the replacement part(motherboard).
Since my musical recordings, CD/DVD player and internet forums(Carpenters and Van Halen friends) depends on my computer, I though I couldn't be more in pain that I was a week ago..., well I was wrong...
My best friend for 18 years, my cat Mitaine, is now gone.
It's *The End Of The World*..., I don't know what to say..., I don't know what to think..., I'm just lost..., in pain. He died Saturday night, April 23 at 11:20 pm.
..., ' so painful for the solitaire person that I am.

Je t'aime Mitaine... [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]

?x? Hi Roland. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know that Mitaine was such a big part of your world. We really miss you on the forum. Computer problems are so troublesome. I've been having problems lately myself. My computer crashed a second time just last week. That's twice in just a month and a half. before that I never had any problems. Both times a virus hit my computer. and I have virus protection. I guess some viruses are buggers and are going to get through no matter what. Anyway I lost a lot of pictures, songs, data, charts, information. I had a lot on back up discs but there was still quite a bit I didn't have backups for. Like you Roland when I don't have access to my computer or internet it slows down a lot for me as I am involved in three time demanding internet projects. The internet is my livelihood. anyway Roland. you are truly missed on the forum. and I can hardly wait until you are back full-time. Best to you always!

Dear Dear Roland: SO sorry to hear of your good friend, your feline buddy, passing. I know you loved him dearly, and that is quite a loss. Have been thinking of you and keeping you in prayer, and hoping you get that computer all fixed up soon so you feel somewhat whole again. It's a real pain going through those types of problems, and a death on top of it all. Perhaps Karen is taking care of Mitaine now - He will always have a close eye on you. Wish I could do something to help, but just know I'm here and if you need anything, please let me know. "..Over there, people are slow - low key life is all that they know - lyin' around, high on the sunshine - lazy lagoons, warm afternoons, tropical moons, sleepy beaches everywhere - ANYONE is welcomed there.." Ya know, bro, it just doesn't get any better than that! He's in a good place!! All my best thoughts coming your way, Tim

My song of the day is the absolutely fabulous "One More Time". I just love the somber mood of this simple yet very dramatic number. I like the fact that it focuses mostly on Karen's voice. Her reading of this song is personal and powerful in it's own intricate and tender way. p.s. Roland - can hardly wait til you're back with us again...

This is kind of a coincidence as I have been listening to AKOH album more lately but my SOTD is going to be You from that record It is neck and neck as my favorite song off the record. I love the straight forward pop arrangement and wonderful vocal by Karen. So this will be my SOTD.

Jim Beautifully put Jim. I love "Sometimes". It's such a short and simple yet powerful song. In honor of Mother's Day which is coming up "Sometimes" is my song of the day. I just want to say "thank you" to my mom for having been a wonderful mom my entire life. THANK YOU MOM!

A couple of weeks ago, I made a nice little video clip of my cat Mitaine with the song *Sometimes* playing in the background(Live At Budokan '74 VHS version)..., it's a very *mélancolique* song.
I still don't have my computer.
I think I'm going crazy.
..., hmmm..., patience..., patience... [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]

Roland, I love cats and dogs...but especially love cats, so I know it's a rough time. You've lost a really special friend. I'm sorry you have this loss. Sure hope you get your comp. going again too. My song of the day is Nowhere Man. It's a really sad one, but in its own way, the way Karen sings it, is very good. It's the epitome of someone very alone I just picture a homeless person. Maybe someone will help and maybe they won't. The way Karen hits those low notes is incredible. smoothie
