I'm sad to report that I haven't heard ANY Carpenters on the radio in a very long while now. It almost makes me wish for the days of Christmas season when suddenly the DJ's all remember the magic that was 'Carpenters'!

My dad clock radio alarm is set to play radio at 7 am everyday, around 7:30 am radio
station "The Jewel" 99.5 fm plays a carpenter song, today was "Sing" , yesterday was
"Top of the World" and the other day "Only Yesterday".

I am listing each song with 4 numbers following it: the first number is the total number of radio/public hears, the second the new radio/public hears since the last log update, the third the total number of TV/Video/Movie hears. (No new Movie/TV/Video hears reported since April 21.) The last number is the total number of reported hears for the year.

Another great job on the update! This format works fine --- in fact, it is easier to read. Thanks!

Not too surprisingly, it looks like "We've Only Just Begun", as the signature tune, is consistently maintaining the lead overall since it surpassed "Close to You" back in February.

Thanks for the effort and for all you do here. I prefer the previous method - to me it is easier to read - as I am primarily interested in the radio/public airplay. Also I feel there is a significant difference between radio airplay and parts of songs played in television documentaries. I vote for keeping it the way it was - or at least including all editions of the listings.

Maybe there is a way to compromise between the 2 listing methods. One where O.E. has to type the song entries in only once, but also a method in which the categories are more clearly defined.

it is no problem- I can do separate radio/public listiings, then TV/video/movie listings, then a cumulative total listing- similar to the example Rick just gave. That way, everyone can easily focus attention on what is of interest to them.

That idea I like quite a bit - as I do enjoy the cumulative list - but also like to be able to easily read our radio airplay list.

I heard "Close to You" this morning 7:15, on 99.5 fm "The JeweL" station, they always play
something from the Carpenters around this time. Even there radio promo ad plays the
first 5 seconds of "We've Only Just Begun" then the ad says "this is the Jewel playing all your
oldies favorites". Sometimes it catches me off guard and i think all right they playing "W O J B"
but it's just the ad.
