I haven't had much to say lately but you all are gonna LOVE this...! www.pitts-urgh.comThis local station canned its "The Zone" format Monday, and has been playing Christmas songs since Monday. So, as I was in the parking lot at church talking with my wife, "I'll Be Home For Christmas" comes on. Sometimes, life just rocks... |

WJ, my thinking was along the lines of what Rick stated, so I wasn't figuring the brief excerpt. The hear on WDUV counts for sure, though. And yesterday I heard "Hurting each Other." Thanks for clearing that up for me, O.E. |

 Today I heard "Only Yesterday" at the Mall... In the past few days I've also heard... We've Only Just Begun - 1 Solitaire - 1 Rainy Days And Mondays - 1 I Believe You - 1 Superstar - 1 (all on Pop Goes The 70's www.live365.com/stations/loran2005b - they play blocks of Carpenters at a time.)

These are my hears for the past four and half days. "We've Only Just Begun" - 4 times "Solitaire" - 3 times "Superstar" - 2 times "Sweet Sweet Smile" - 2 times "Rainy Days And Mondays" - 1 time "Goodbye To Love" - 1 time "All You Get From Love Is A Love Song" - 1 time "I Won't Last A Day Without You" - 1 time "Only Yesterday" - 1 time "Please Mr. Postman" - 1 time "It's Going To Take Sometime" - 1 time 2 of the "We've Only Just Begun" and 1 of the "Superstar" I heard in a public place. The rest were on internet radio. |

This is an amazing number of hears! And now we are starting to get Christmas reports already. I may have to leave my job and become a full-time Carpenters tabulator! An updated log will hopefully be out by the weekend. Rick, I don't think there is a need to distinguish between public and radio hears for the log sake- but it is very possibly of enough general interest to make a note of it.

We've Only Just Begun Superstar Solitaire Close To You I've been hearing tons of Carpenters now that I've discovered a few more internet radio stations that play good amounts of Carpenters... I will come back with the links to these other stations. I'm still listening to Pop Goes The 70's the most... they seem to play the widest variety of Carpenters music and they play three to four songs by them in a row - and it's not the same four or five tines over and over. |

Just to clarify the rules: when will the log end- at midnight (Pacific time) on Jan. 1, 2008? Or will it extend until a few days into the new year, to allow for more holiday favorites to be included?
