Hi All, I was in bed last night just listening to my cd walkman, and was listening to LOVELINES cd. I was listening to HONOLULU CITY LIGHTS and feel that it is in the same vein as SAILING ON THE TIDE and BOAT TO SAIL. How neat is that! They all remind me of each other and seem to compliment each other as well. All wonderful vocals by Karen, of course.
My thoughts, Cameron

Intersting that you bring this up Cam. I recently made a Carpenters compilation to listen to in my car. I used these three songs together as I felt it fit a theme. I also put them in the same sequence you mentioned. first HONOLULU, 2nd SAILING and third BOAT TO SAIL. I also included MAYBE IT'S YOU and ALL YOU GET FROM LOVE IS A LOVE SONG just before these three songs to keep in theme theme of sailing and ocean and water.

Cameron,
You hit it right on, absolutely true! I love all 3 songs, and they are very similar. I`ve been hooked on Honolulu lately, what a great song. Just so relaxed and with such a warm feeling to it, which also the other 2 have.

I love all three songs, especially "Boat To Sail" that's one of my favorite C's songs. "Honolulu City Lights" is my favorite song from the "Lovelines" disc I play that one often. Also "Sailing On The Tide" is my favorite from "Voice Of The Heart". Funny how all three of these songs are my favorite song from their respective albums. I guess what I like about each song is the easygoing laid back feel. Sammy I agree "Maybe It's You" fits in with these songs. "Maybe it’s you Maybe it’s me Maybe it’s just the constant rhythm of the sea" " Rising on the shore The ocean came Walks along the waves of velveteen" ?*
