I was out shopping today I stopped by one of my favorite music stores named Pepperland. Pepperland specializes in The Beatles. Anyway today I spotted a copy of the Carpenters bootleg CD "More Offerings". This disc has several unreleased songs on it including the "Make Your Own Kind Of Music" medley, "And When I Die" and "Cinderella Rockefella". The disc is selling for $15.99. If you live in Southern California and want to purchase it the store is located at: Pepperland Music 850 N. Tustin Orange, California 92867 714-639-0909 (It's located near Tustin and Collins) They also have decals of the Carpenters logo and the recently released "Gold" box set.

Anyway I'm glad you got the CD, did you get any of the decals?

At present there were two left I got one for myself and one for a fellow CarpenterS Fan. Pepperland sounds like an interesting place! I know of nothing like it in South Florida. I have heard about some of these songs and am looking forward to listening to them.
Thanks again JIM

Hi Jim, Pepperland is a one of a kind. It's one of the very few mom and pop music shops left in Orange County, CA. They store has been open for about 20 years. They specialize in Beatles, but carry a cross large section of music. They had the Japanese release of Carpenters, "As Time Goes By" before any other store around. They also have Carpenters Gold 12 disc box set. A few years back I purchased a rare box set which contained the 12 songs from the tribute album "If I Were A Carpenter" on six 7" vinyl single records.

Music by The Carpenters kept me going in my early years. It's sad that others make fun of the incredible work that was produced by Karen and Richard. This is my first time posting, and I don't know what has been said before. But, as we move on into the future, The Carpenter's music remains timeless. Timeless music is incredible, and hard to find in today's music industry. The legacy left behind by Richard and Karen will never be duplicated. I come from a new website, those interested in making others aware of a new CD, from Melissa Manchester, her first original music release in 9 years. As much as I love The Carpenters, I offer up Melissa's website for your consideration, www.melissa-manchester.com. She's on a small record label now, and this work of music and lyrics must be promoted outside the normal channels of music. After you listen to the "video clip" under "News", let me know if you like what Melissa has created. If you buy the new CD, "When I Look Down That Road", let me know how you like it. The response, so far, is 100% approval. You won't find this CD everywhere. You may have to look for it. But, go to her website to decide if you want it. You can always order from the web. Sincerely, A Fan of The Carpenters and Melissa Manchester, Shan
