"Gold: 35th Anniversary Edition" entered the Billboard top 200 albums chart on February 26, 2004 at #119, it fell to #129 in it's second week. Now in it's third week it's jumped up to #121 with a bullet. I think the recent broadcasts of the PBS documentary is going to help sales tremendously in the next few weeks.

Hey Rick, That is GREAT!! I am sure that this album, will sell better than LOVE SONGS which peaked at #106 and eventually went gold(500,000 copies sold).

Thanks for the update.
Now I have to decide whether to become part of those statistics.
I'm certain I will in the long run.

Here's another update on chart postion and also with correct dates, I think I finally have it right.
Feb. 28 #119 (debut) week 1 March 6 #129 week 2 March 13 #121 (with a bullet) week 3 March 20 #116 week 4 March 27 #122 week 5 April 3 #101 (with a bullet) week 6
This week is the biggest move up for "Gold: 35th Anniversary Edition" since it entered the chart. There's a very good possiblity it will be in the top 100 next week.
By reaching #101 "Gold: 35th Anniversary Edition" surpasses the Carpenters last album on the U.S. chart. 1998's "Love Songs" reached #106 and stayed on the chart for 25 weeks. The last time Carpenters were in the U.S. top 100 was in 1983 with "Voice Of The Heart" which reached #46.

It really really pleases me that the 35th anniv. album is doing so very well! As I've written before, their music is timeless, warm and just like so very many singers still alive and so many gone also, those artists are forever in our minds and the music will always be appreciated and respected.

Feb. 28 #119 (debut) week 1 March 6 #129 week 2 March 13 #121 (with a bullet) week 3 March 20 #116 week 4 March 27 #122 week 5 April 3 #101 (with a bullet) week 6 April 10 #123 week 7
This week the disc took a sizeable fall down, but I think it will probably go up and down a few more times before it falls off the chart all together.
