I know Richard started out with wanting to be a classical player, but was influenced by all different types of music and therefore this was made known by the songs that he and Karen came up with. Was there any particular type of music Karen liked the most when she had time?

I think Karen was like Richard she had an interest in varied types of music. From Barbra Striesand, Perry Como, Beatles. I remember reading she went to a Kiss concert and enjoyed it. Karen was an adventurous sort.

hi Sammy...yes, not long after I posted that question, I knew that I already knew the answer after all. She and Richard enjoyed all types of music and were certainly inspired and influenced by it as it shows in their own music. Jazz, bluesy, rock and country and old songs sung by such legends as Como and many others all had a great impact on their own style. And with their wonderful harmonies and arrangements all these types of music are evident in their songs.

I read somewhere that Karen liked music with a good rhythm line, this appealed to her instincts as a drummer.
