Great news... "Christmas Portrait" has re-entered Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. It is currently at #193. That means this is one of the most popular Christmas albums of the season. Also KOST FM in L.A. is already playing Carpenters Christmas music with "Merry Christmas Darling", "Home For The Holidays" and "Sleigh Ride" in heavy rotation. This just may end up being a Carpenters Christmas after all! Christmas Collection: CLICK HEREChristmas Portrait: CLICK HERE

It's that time of year when the world falls in love ... with the wonderful Christmas offerings from Carpenters. It's so nice to hear the music of Karen and Richard being played over the airwaves ... and to realize how perfectly they fit into the category of classic Christmas music along side Bing, Judy, Nat and company.

Well said, wj7 - well said. I listened to both albums as I decorated my tree over this holiday weekend, and haven't listened to the radio in a while. I'll try and start tuning in - typically our stations play a LOT of Carpenters during this particular holiday season.

Glad to see the good response on this news. WJ7 excellent point made on Carpenters Christmas music fitting well with the classics such as Bing Crosby, Judy Garland and Nat King Cole. I would also take that one step further in saying Carpenters Christmas music is timelessly produced and arranged that it sits very well with it's contemporaries of their day such as John Denver, Elton John, Eagles and Paul McCartney and is just as relevant with today's Christmas music releases such as Diana Krall, Sting, Michael Buble, Tori Amos and others. I believe that's why "Christmas Portrait" has been so successful because it crosses musical genres and appeals to people from across the musical spectrum.

Great to hear it's charting on the regular 200 chart and not just the Holiday charts! WARM98 in Cincinnati plays Holiday music from jiust before Thanksgiving to Christmas Day every year and Carpenters are always in heavy rotation.
