I had tickets to see Elton John yesterday here in Helsinki. His Red Piano show was in town - but Elton got sick (bronchitis) and the concert was cancelled at the last moment. What a disappointment but of course he couldn't play and sing. He had already fought through the previous show in Denmark on Saturday. Do you have any similar experiences of cancelled shows in mind? Finland is such a periphery on the map that we often get these, unfortunately, not always caused by sickness. The Beatles never bothered to come here - Bruce Springsteen first came in 2003 (he's played dozens of shows in our neighboring country Sweden)! I can think of a few gigs I had tickets to but were cancelled: ELO in 1974, Sex Pistols in 1978 (they weren't allowed to play here and by chance broke up the week before), Prince in 1988 and now Elton. btw. there will be no new show, so it's just money back...
