Chris Thompson was in Manfred Mann's Earth Band in the mid 70's ("74/75-79) and left that band in 1979 to form the LA based band Night. They had 2 hits...Hot Summer Nights and If You Remember Me...the 2nd song, I hope, is the answer for the song clue. Wisejester gets this one... the song is "If You Remember Me" by Chris Thompson. But now what is the Carpenters connection. The connection will be even harder to get.

If You Remember Me Composed by : Bayer Sager/Hamlish
Carol Bayer Sager was married/teamed with Burt Bacharach...who, of course, has a HUGE Carpenters connection.

If You Remember Me Composed by : Bayer Sager/Hamlish Carol Bayer Sager was married/teamed with Burt Bacharach...who, of course, has a HUGE Carpenters connection. That's a good one Wisejseter7 - and is definitely a connection - but not the right connection - as that's an easy connection to make. In the beginning of this game it was stated that it will take a real Carpenters fan to get this one and the Carpenters connection will be even harder to figure.
The connection in this game is a bit more direct to either Carpenters / Karen / Richard. It's a tough one and will take a Carpenters fan who knows Carpenters music and the music beyond Carpenters.
...And by the way in doing this game I also discovered yet another Carpenters connection with Chris Thompson - which would be he did the duet with "Jennifer Warnes - and Jeniifer Warnes also recorded the song "You're The One".

I thought that was too easy for it to be the answer. I think my brain is smoking from the workout it's been getting from this puzzle ;-)

Carole Bayer Sager co-wrote "If You Remember Me" with Marvin Hamlisch and the song "Somebody's Been Lying" with Burt Bacharach, the latter of which the Carpenters recorded on their album "Made in America."

Many good guesses here - but the answer has nothing to do with Carole Bayer Sager and everything to do with Chris Thompson.
Here's another slight clue - you need to read it closely to figure it out:
The person who figures this out will know Carpenters and all related music. This is not an easy one - but if you really know everything Carpenters related you'll eventually get it. It's a filthy job - but keep on trying you'll get it.

Hi all... back again with Twisted Logic #11. I'll come back sometime tomorrow night with the answer to this puzzle - if nobody can guess it. It is a tough one that i"m sure not many know.

Okay all... gee this one stumped everyone. So, here is the answer.
But before I give you the answer I would like to repost a few of the hints I gave for the connection. See if any of you can figure it out before getting to the bottom of this post where the answer is.
The artist and song was Chris Thompson and his hit "If You Remember Me".
Here are the clues to the connection:
1. It will take a real Carpenters fan to get this one
2. But the Carpenters connection will be even harder to figure.
3. But now what is the Carpenters connection. The connection will be even harder to get.
4. In the beginning of this game it was stated that it will take a real Carpenters fan to get this one and the Carpenters connection will be even harder to figure.
5. The connection in this game is a bit more direct to either Carpenters / Karen / Richard. It's a tough one and will take a Carpenters fan who knows Carpenters music and the music beyond Carpenters.
6. The person who figures this out will know Carpenters and all related music. This is not an easy one - but if you really know everything Carpenters related you'll eventually get it. It's a filthy job - but keep on trying you'll get it.
So here is the answer:
In 1989 singer/actor Scott Grimes released an album titled Scott Grimes. This album was produced by Richard Carpenter with Herb Alpert as the Executive Producer. Richard did all the musical arrangements and co-wrote one of the songs. He also played keyboards on most of the tracks. Tony Peluso played lead guitar on one of the songs and Tim May contributed guitar on several of the songs.
The connection you may ask? Well... Chris Thompson co-wrote two of the songs on the album - "You're The Voice" and "Walkin' On Water".
I'll post TW12 in the next day or two.
