Artist: Frank Sinatra Album: Come Fly With Me The concept album 'travels' around the world. Correct Wisejester! The album is Frank Sinatra's "Come Fly With Me" - Now for the big question... What is the Carpenters connection? The arranger/conductor for Sinatra's concept album "Come Fly with Me" was Billy May, who also did the authentic 1940's style orchestration and arrangement for "I Can Dream Can't I" on the Carpenters' album "Horizon" and a number of songs on their "Christmas Portrait" and "An Old-Fashioned Christmas" albums, both which of course have a holiday music theme/concept. Specifically, Billy May arranged and orchestrated "Sleigh Ride", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "I'll be Home for Christmas" and the medley "Winter Wonderland/Silver Bells/White Christmas" on the "Christmas Portrait" album and "He Came Here for Me" on the "An Old-Fashioned Christmas" album.

Correct GoodOldDreams... Billy May is the Carpenters Connection. He did an outstanding job in assisting the Carpenters in shaping "I Can Dream Can't I" - what an awesome song. His work on the Christmas albums is equally outstanding.
Kudos to Johnny for figuring out the artist: Frank Sinatra.
Good job to Wisejester for guessing the album: "Come Fly With Me"
And Bravo to Carpenters expert GoodOldDreams for knowing the connection was Billy May.
Soon to come Twisted Logic #9.

You're welcome, Dr Johnny P LoveTrain! BTW, when are you scheduled for your next gig at WBUL? I finally got the chance to hear you yesterday according to the schedule posted on the website, but it seemed to be out of sync with what was being played at the time, even taking the 3-hour difference between the east coast and the west coast here into consideration. Good Old Dreams,my WBUL show resumes on 9/15 at 9pm EST/6pm PST
