Ah, this is one of my favorites! There's 2 sides to every situation. I love the last "goodbye" she sings "the other side of me just caught a flight...goodbye" and Karen floats away. She's gone ;-)

This song is my absolute favorite from this album. I love it! Another reason that Karen's voice is loved by so many!

To me it's an ok song...of course seems every song coming from Karen...the way she delivers it is just above and beyond any one else singing it...I gave it 3 stars.

5-Stars
This is my favorite song from "Passage". I love everything about it.
It's a wonderful song with a trio of guitars - steel guitar, acoustic guitar and electric guitar. What a great song with a wonderful smooth Southern California feel.
One of the most outstanding features of this song is the lyric. It's one of the best lyrics in the entire Carpenters catalog. The words really hit home and it's a touch of reality.
Best of all is Karen's vocal performance especially at the end when she sings "goodbye..." and holds the note - what a great effect.
This is one of my ten most favorite Carpenters songs of all-time.

AGAIN, I'm with Rick all the way on this one....one of MY all time favorite Carpenters tunes, as well. What a poignant lyric, and so, so, SO true. There are always two sides to every situation - no matter what the circumstance. This lyric is the epitomy of honesty - "...well I don't know how to say it, cause I never thought I could - God knows, I've tried so many times....but there's two sides - there's another side of me - there's the one you think you live with - the one you never see - it's never really LIVED, but it's never really DIED - it's never really MADE IT, BUT.....it's TRIED...!" Now, how cool IS that? Love it. 5+ stars from me! Tim
