I always loved this song even tho it sounded fairy like & a bit for the "kiddies" the later versions of Goodbye to love it was the b-side in the UK. Ken

This one doesn't really do much for me although I never skipped over it. I guess I was just addicted to every song no matter what.

Four Stars
I love this song. Yes, it's almost a children's lullaby. But it one of the most beautiful lullabies to grace this green earth.
Karen's voice is as smooth as silk on this beautifully flowing song. Richard's shared vocal is also right on the mark.
This song can sooth out the roughness of a long hard day at work. It does the trick everytime.

5 Stars This track stands out on the album, not as a hit or one that should have been released as a single but one of the hidden reasons for purchasing a memorable album.
Richard seems to play a bigger part in this production and the track itself comes to life everytime I listen to it. Its melodic tones push you concentrate on the music itself and its composition.........a truly great track.....

A song which didn't do much to challenge those critics who thought that the Carpenters were goody-goody and saccharine.
That said, I do cherish this recording. Listening to it is like reliving your favorite dream; it's cosy, illusory and hypnotic. I think hopsitals should seriously consider playing this to patients as a sedative!
4-Stars. L

Escapism as an alternative to the ugliness of real life? Life is but a dream.

I very much like this nostalgic and sweet song that creates vivid images of touchstones of days past. (I am rather reminded of the beginning of "Because we Are In Love.") Life can be rough and comfort can be found in fond memories (even if we sometimes have to fabricate the memories a little), and as I listen to this song more I think it will be on the elite list of pleasant Carpenter treats. So a "5" from me.
