Hi All, When I first heard the song that I downloaded from Kazaa, The Rainbow Connection sung by Karen. I cried. Tears were streaming down my face, because this was such a personal song that Karen was singing. As if she were really here in my room. It seemed so personal. And I was glad to have this gift from her. This piece of treasure with her voice on it. Love that song!! I had always liked this song from The Muppet Movie. And it always got me to thinking...how come they never appeared on the famed Muppet Show to guest. As you may know, Karen appeared with 2 puppets on her 1977 Christmas special...and she got along with them fabulously...with Karen around...you don't even believe it's puppets but a real person. She had love for puppets, beasts and children!! It's a darn old shame that they never found the time to visit or guest on that series or even Sesame Street...
Rats!

The Rainbow Connection is a special magical song. I can listen to it over and over again. I love the words and Karen's voice is especially endearing.

I agree with you, such a beautiful song, sounds so warm and magical. I am so glad they released it. Can you believe it is a work lead?? There is only one thing I don`t like about it and that is, as previously mentioned, the way Karen sings "...and me" all the way in the end.

I love "The Rainbow Connection", I remember the first time hearing it. I felt that "chill factor". Such a beautiful beautiful song, and the lyrics are really very meaningful. I wish there were more songs like this, it's a real gem!

I, too, love the song, but am a little disappointed with the arrangement. I don't know how to have made it better, but it just seems like there is something missing. Karen sounds great and does a nice improvement upon Kermit's vocals, but I don't get the "chills" on this song. My opinion only, of course.....

I think the song is excellent from beginning to end. Karen's voice is beautiful.
