Hey smoothiekatt...as for Richard if he knows about this site I do not know about it.
I've seen the Carpenters only once. That was in Dec. 1977 for my birthday. They performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. There is a lot I remember - but also a lot I forget. I believe they performed the Grease Oldies Medley. I don't remember what I thought about how Karen looked. I do remember we were at a table near the further mid section of the show room, so we didn't have a good close look at them. I can not remember what she wore. I do remember being very happy to be able to see them. The Carpenters was my first concert, it was on my 18th birthday. My second concert was years later 1981 or 82 when I saw Joan Armatrading at Perkins Palace in Los angeles. Armatrading at that point was recording with A&M.

:)thanks for your reply once again...When I was about 16, my folks took me to see the Osmonds and even though I had 101 temp. and the show team were running an hr. late due to technical trouble..it was great and I wasn't about to miss seeing them! So, if I had been able or had the opportunity to see the Carps. I surely would have.
hey you gotta smile out of me..
