Hi everyone, My name is Melody and I was browsing on line and randomly found this forum ... I picked the name " Daturadaisy" because I use it over and over again so that I am recognizable from other forums ... but it's not a Carpenter's reference, rather a Tori Amos reference ... Hope to see more of everyone here! Melody

Hi Melody, welcome to the forum. I really like your name Daturadaisy, it's different. I also like Tori Amos quite a bit, I think she is one of the very best female artists of recent years.
Your custom avatar is interesting, although I can not figure out what it is. Maybe you can enlighten me.

Hi there admin Rick!
Right now I see a red x where your avatar is ... darn it!
I have a number of avatars that are female performers ... charlotte martin, tori amos, and also a number of Drew Barrymore avatars but I didn't think those would be appropriate here. I've actually been to forums where I saw members with borderline offense avatars, so I settled on the one that I am currently using just because it is pleasant on the eyes, and doesn't really convey any particular message.
The pattern is actually part of some pictures from the tour pic corresponding with Tori Amos's Under the Pink era, but it's pretty obscure and I would expect only hard core tori fans to pick up on where it is from.
The funny thing is that I am becoming less and less of a tori fan over time, but I am so well established in the tori community with this name, and have so many custom avatars, that it is hard not use what you have already ... and I like the idea of not having a new name for every forum that I post at.

What a wonderful name for a music lover to named.
Rick Henry is a wonderful administrator. We're fortunate to have him and his forum.
Regarding your quotation -- Abraham Lincoln certainly was a special person.

WELCOME!! It is always so nice to meet another person in this forum. And one in which we can share our love and appreciation for the music of Richard and beautiful songstress Karen Carpenter, who also was the first famous POP drummer of all time to hit Number One.
I saw Tori Amos sing on the movie MONA LISA SMILE. She did a nice job. I also believe that she has covered the Carpenters signature song in concert...We've Only Just Begun.
My thoughts, Cameron
