Karen Carpenter has millions of fans who love her in the way fans of Elvis, The Beatles, Jim Morrison and Madonna are adored. They all have other names they are identified with. Here are a few Jim Morisson - The Lizard King Elvis - The King Beatles - The Fab Four Madonna - Material Girl here's a few others James Brown - Godfather Of Soul Aretha Franklin - Queen Of Soul Michael Jackson - King Of Pop David Bowie - The Thin White Duke, Man Of A 1000 Faces Barry White - The Walrus Of Love
Does anybody else think Karen should have a "nickname"?
I feel [glow=yellow,2,300]"Voice Of An Angel" [/glow]suits her best for several reasons.

Can't say I agree with you on this, Boat2Sail. Karen's voice is way too unique to be described by mere words. It should simply be listened to and let yourself be transported to wherever it takes you.
For me, I'd rather not have Karen associated with a worldly label.

:)I think Voice of an Angel certainly describes Karen's very well, but I can also understand why some may not want her to have a title.

I can see your viewpoint karenforever. I agree Karen's voice is so unique and wonderful that it does defy categorization and really shouldn't be categorized, but she still does have the voice of an angel. Her voice is pure, clear and absolutely beautiful. Can't say I agree with you on this, Boat2Sail. Karen's voice is way too unique to be described by mere words. It should simply be listened to and let yourself be transported to wherever it takes you. For me, I'd rather not have Karen associated with a worldly label.

I agree too, but I prefer "Voice of Angel", without the article AN. Am I correct?

:)hi Will..I really like voice of an angel , but I also like queen of hearts. I guess Karen may not be one to have one particular name, kind of like their music..some surely fit in with country and some pop and easy listening and soft rock and etc.
It is interesting to see what names can describe her.

Hi... I choose either THE VOICE...THE voice...the VOICE...or...VOICE OF THE HEART....or the VOICE OF AN ANGEL...are the best ones. I can't say I like Queen of Hearts, cuz I always think that that is a song Juice Newton wrote and had a hit with...and also...Queen of Hearts will always be Princess Diana's name that will always be a part of her epitaph...
