Friends do indeed make the world go round. Nice thread, Rick. I, too, want to thank everyone who posts here, whether regularly or not. Your insight on all topics Carpenters are priceless. I've said it many times, and will say it once again - I have learned so much from many of you here on this forum about the Carpenters. Though I have a good knowledge of Carpenters music, I learn something undoubtedly each visit to Carpenters Online. Rick thanked us, but the thanks goes back to you, Rick. Thanks for keeping the site up and running, so that we CAN post our thoughts and feelings about the Carpenters, here. Thanks for keeping the web site updated - I always thought I knew how much time that takes, but I'm learning it takes even more than I thought - so thank you for that. I know this site is thought of as the BEST and the most Interesting site by the Carpenter camp, as I've been told that a lot - Richard stops by here often, as I understand it. Also, many in the industry (for instance I was just in touch with David Brown) who know of this site. David was the lead guitar player for Billy Joel, and he performed on Karen's solo album, as well. So - there are many accolades that need be paid to Rick for his hard work and dedication to all of this - all of us, actually. Thanks is the best word I can think of, Rick.....so, thanks!!! It's a joy to interact with one and all. Let's keep our family of Carpenter fans together here for a long time to come. Tim

Total agreement with Smoothie- your work here is phenominal and the Christian music site is no doubt of tremendous inspiration to countless people. There is only so much time and energy a peson has and if the site has to be laid aside I sure we'll all step up and do what we can to be as good C's ambassadors as we can.

Simply put... You all are great! Rick, I know I don't have to post this - you know from our many discussions how I feel about this. But the important thing is - "do what's good for you, or you're not good for anybody" -those words are actually lyrics to one of my favorite Billy Joel songs, "James". But they are well said, and I have to remind myself of them, too. You must do what is going to be best for Rick. I'm sure Palm will be flattered to know it was she that kept the web site alive last year. I didn't know that, and, unless you told her that, she doesn't know it, either. I will, however, pass that along. Tim

This is indeed a BIG decision to make, Rick. I'm sure you know the pros and cons of what COL has brought to your table. You are the only one who can determine what is right for you at this time. IF you choose to let COL go, then please know this ... you have brought many people together over the Carpenters and I'm sure we have all enjoyed the experience you've enabled us. Thank you! IF you keep with COL, then I'm sure we will all continue to learn and grow together. Either way you lean, Rick, I think it safe to say COL has been a pleasurable place to be.
