Hi, Greetings from the lovely island of Puerto Rico! I have always been a huge fan of the Carpenters. Karen is my favorite singer since I discovered her lovely voice. Before I entered high school back in 1975 I have never heard of them. One of my high school friends introduced me to their music. I was so mesmerized with Karen's voice and with Richard exquisite vocal arrangements that I was immediately hooked to their sound. I bought all of their vinyl records up until the last one and then in the 90s when CDs came I bought all of them and now I have all of their music in my Ipod and computer. I have the complete library of their music in mp3 files. It is amazing how excellent and vibrant their music sounds after 30 years that those recordings were made. Today I discovered this forum and to tell you the truth I am very excited. I thought that I was a passionate Carpenters fan but now I see that many many people around the world share my passion for the most beautiful music ever recorded! Yes , there will never be another Karen Carpenter. Although there are a lot of good singers out there no one has the exquisite, vibrant, defined, angelical voice that she had. As we celebrate again her birthday I emphasize the fact that she still is greatly missed. It is up to us, her loyal fans, to continue showing the new generations her legacy, her wonderful legacy that she left to the world. I would like to be part of this community and share my enthusiasm for the greatest music ever recorded! Best regards, Rafael PS. Does anyone know any online store that sells Carpenters memorabilia? I would like to purchase, a tee shirt, a cap or a jacket with the famous Carpenters logo, thanks

GREETINGS Rafael and welcome to this awesome place. My name is Tim, (of Tim's Corner) - I wanted to welcome you to the forum, and to invite you to stop by Tim's Corner and join in the discussions there, as well. Your post reminded me of my first post when I came across Carpenters Online. I was so excited that not only did I find people in the US who seemed to love the Carpenters and their music as much as I, but I found people all over the world here, and each who is every bit as passionate about Carpenters- Karen's chocolately-silky, smooth, lucious, wonderful voice, and Richard's amazing arangements - his wonderful abilities and his playing! Man - he could do it all. And Karen not only sang like an angel, she could play the drums quite expertly, too!! So, welcome. Yes, you have found THE online site for Carpenters fans that has excellent discussions, fun games, and exchanges about Carpenters Music from the first note to the last. There's lots of reading here, and plenty of great discussion! I hope to hear more from you. Best, Tim
