This game consists of a series of Carpenter-related statements (think of them as questions, though not worded in question form) with the correct response given- but the letters of each response are out of order. Put the letters in the right order to solve each statement. They can be solved with knowledge of The Carpenters and/or their music- but sometimes the words have an unexpected meaning. As you put the letters in each response in order, one or more of the letters (the ones designated by a long line) are then to be unscrambled, along with the designated letters of other responses, to solve the bonus statement. For a simple example, if one of the statements was:
-a feline ATC ___ _ _
the answer would be CAT, and the letter "C" would then be one of the letters to be unscrambled for the bonus statement.
Here, then, are the statements:

2- One of Richard's deepest friends.

3-The Carpenters really got into this in the 60's.
