Halloween approaches and thoughts of the season come to the fore. A couple of fun ideas have come out: from makapipi: found in CARPENTERS SONG OF THE DAY "Yesterday Once More" (reprise)1973 from the Essential Collection is real short 43 seconds. The back vocals "so fine, so fine" is kind of ghostly because of the echo and the loop back effect. I like it because it is a little different from others. Happy Halloween!!! ****** from wisejester7: found in Pumpkin Carvers ...gather 'round Check THIS out! pumpkinglow.com/images/PDFpatterns/Carpenters.pdf**see Greetings Of The Season to see what GoodOldDreams came up with!!!!!!! ****** Another 'seasonal' addition : the haunting "The Uninvited Guest". Karen sings of a ghost and her shadow outlined in the air. Can anyone think of other 'haunting' Carpenters songs or correlations?

Another seasonal song that haunts (knowing now how Karen's marriage dissolved and her declining health that was respawned from it)...Where Do I Go From Here.
The song starts with Autumn leaves and speaks of cold windy days.

"Crescent Noon" is another haunting seasonal song: "Green September burn to October brown Bare November led to December's frozen ground..."

"The Uninvited Guest" from the Lovelines cd has an reverb sound effect or maybe faraway sound effect which creates a setting like in a tunnel or mansion with high ceilings. Or maybe like when they show a dream in a movie it has slow distant echo, so the Uninvited Guest might be someones imagination or dream. I like to listen to this one late at night.
