Alana, for taking on the creative and time consuming efforts of keeping the official Carpenters website up and going. Many people are GREATLY relieved that the site will stay alive and active. I'm sure you are getting numerous e-mails and letters from fans around the world. The Carpenters are VERY MUCH alive. Newcomers are finding their music every day. . .while others of us never stopped loving them. The musical magic and wonder Karen and Richard gifted us with stands the test of time. So with heart felt joy... WELCOME, WELCOME!!! I'm looking forward to sharing many happy moments surfing the site. ;-)wisejester7

Alana Voller has been a very close friend to the entire Carpenter family for many, many years. She and Karen were close, as she is also a warm and compassionate lady in person as well. -Chris

Yes, thank you Chris, for your insight. It will be wonderful to have someone who has known the Carpenter family, especially Karen and Richard, in the role of Richard's Personal Assistant. She was quite confused by the last email I had sent to Becky, not having the back story.....so I tried to give her enough information to know who I was, and the web site here that I help to moderate. In fact, I received another email from her today - and she'd dug right into the "pending" files. Richard now has the photos I sent back in July, and things are rolling right along. Thank you, Alana. She told me she had known the Carpenter family for a long time, and that she was going to "do her best" to keep the website updated and fresh. She requested we all "visit the website" whenever we wished to do so. Thanks for your input, Chris. And thanks for your quick follow-up, Alana. Once again, a huge WELCOME to you!! Tim

Welcome Alana!
Nice to know the website will be in good hands again. Look forward to you joining us sometime here on Carpenters Online, perhaps for a chat when we get that going again.
I'm sure we will all be frequenting the Richard and Karen Carpenter Website too. I know I'm there a LOT!!!
Good luck!

Thanks, Alana, for your answers (already!) to questions we have posed, and those that are pending with Richard. You might notice there is another thread on the main forum page that shows the nice tribute you wrote for Karen, that is currently on Richard's website. See....we do truly appreciate you and your talents. That writing is truly beautiful. (Thanks wj7 for posting it for us, here). Join us, anytime! Best, Tim We DO appreciate Alana's talents and her efforts in promoting the Carpenters through the web site! I hope Alana will check us out and not be a stranger here. It would be AWESOME to have such a special person visit with us!!

A little history on Alana, and a bit of trivia...
Alana Voller, aside from being great friends with Mary Carpenter (as well as the rest of the family) was the personal assistant to Jaclyn Smith for the better part of (25) years. Just a little "nugget" of info! -Chris
