Yes for the most part with a few exceptions Carpenters fans are great at least the ones I have been in contact with in cyber space. Tim I am with you on what you said it is a nice little community we have here at Carpentersonline I am happy to be part of it and get to post with yall. Beth I think I know who you are talking about and "she" seems to be a good person thanks for the nice words about C Fans Beth

Not too long ago someone was telling me about some rather rude words that one of his relatives had spoken, and was portraying an overall rough sort of fellow. Then he added that this man (whom has since passed) was quite a big Carpenters fan- and sure enough, our further conversations about him revealed a man whom had had a rough life but whose attitudes were becoming progressively more constructive and whose positive actions and impact were growing. "Carpenters" is good medecine and can have a favorable influence on people, and I do believe the group then, and now, has a way of attracting, and helping people open to life improvement.

yes, smoothie 2 The Statler brothers are from here, they even have a street named after them that's cooooool that Jimmy Love Karen even Sam Huston was born around here, lots of history here, I just wish I had the strangth to see all of it thanx Tim, I need all the help I can get LOL, ever day is getting to be more of a battle to keep my head above water, so I always come here The C's really are the best med's in the world your welcome Enigma, she is a very nice person, it's like I have a pen pal Cooooool & thanx Rick, ps11932, ok everyone of you C's fans ya'll are really a comfort to me

It's interesting that Carpenter references come up all the time- though we are probably especailly atune to them. I remember watching part of a baeball game (on TV) last year and there was a near pick-off play at first base; the call went against the home team, and the stadium organist quickly responded with a few bars of "Close To You."
