Greetings Friends, I hope your holidays were happy and joyful. I had a few days off from work and spent a little extra time with friends and family. Of course I spent too much money and ate way too much. Though through it all I did survive the season and now I'm back with out exciting January 2006 update of The Carpenters Online. In this update: Part Three of the ongoing Palma Pascale Interview. for those of you who have joined us in the last month; Palma Pascale is the songwriter who wrote the song "Love Me For What I Am", which is featured on the 1975 album "Horizon". In Part Three, Palma talks about the first time she heard the final recording of "Love Me For What I Am" and she shares her feelings about Karen's passing. The Fourth Installment of The Carpenters Online Hall Of Fame is now published with two new entries. "Now And Then" the Carpenters' fifth album is being reviewed on the Fan's Review forum. The featured song of the month is "The Uninvited Guest" from the 1989 album "Lovelines". Our Off-Topic artist is Jon and Vangelis. Check it out to find out who Jon And Vangelis are. I am also happy to introduce to you my newest internet venture, "The Miscellaneous Room". The Misc Room is place where you can talk about several different topics, including music, TV, movies, sports, hobbies and other interests. As always it's a pleasure to keep this web site updated for you and I really hope you enjoy your visit to the site.

Bravo, Rick. Nice update. The Palma Pascale third installment is such a treat to read. Very poignant, indeed. She was able to put into words some of the very thoughts I've had over these many years since we lost Karen, not only regarding Karen's death, but also Richard's having to go on, and what the entertainment industry can be like. Wow. It was beautifully written and compiled. Hats off to Palma for such a wonderful read. Thanks for all your hard work, Rick. The site looks exceptional, as always. Tim
