history.nasa.gov/wakeup%20calls.pdfThis is a link to a PDF file which lists all of the known songs used to wake astronauts in orbit. "We've Only Just Begun" shows up first on the Apollo 17 lunar mission. Read, and enjoy! With a little imagination you too can wake up on top of the world! Here's an excerpt from Page 5. (12/18/72) "We've Only Just Begun" The Carpenters...played in the belief that the end of Apollo is not the end of humanity's lunar adventure." (12/30/73) the first appearance of "Top Of The World"

Very cool stuff, Dave. Thanks for sharing this tidbit of information with us. I'm claustrophobic, so for that reason alone never had any aspirations to become an astronaut - but if I were and I had to wake up in a space ship, well...there just wouldn't be anything like a good dose of crystal clear, beautifully harmonic Carpenters to make it all worthwhile! Pirate! Tim
