This one should be interesting as typically this song is ranked as a favorite by the majority of Carpenters fans.

Love it! Love it! Love it! The classic wall of sound, the hard hitting driving drumming great arrangement and what I consider one of Karens finest vocal performances. Karens lower register is simply awsome in this song the husky vocal just blows me away...still after all this time. Its the among best vocals I have heard from any artist and I have heard them all. This always stays in the #1 or #2 position as my all time favorite Carpenters song. I also love the "classic" 1960's sound The Carpenters incorporated into the song yet they managed to keep it timeless.

My all Time NO 1 song by any singer. It has everything in it. The 2nd single I ever bought of theirs. No other song has ever surpassed it in my view. Ken carps1000

;D This song is truly awesome, timeless and a melodic, harmonic masterpiece. It's got it all as far as universally great music goes. Karen's voice is mesmerizing on the first note. I'm very glad it made the top 5 in 75'.

This is also a "Love It" for me. This is my all-time favorite Carpenters song. I love that wonderful wall of sound - the drums, guitars, and all the wonderful music that Richard pieced together to perfection. Outstanding work Richard. Than there's Karen's voice - on that firsat deep note she sings I'm completely drawn in and loving it. Love It! Love It! Love It!

Love it! I like the lyrics. It is positive and it makes me happy. 'Only Yesterday when I was sad and I was lonely, you show me the way to leave the past and all its tears behind me, tomorrow may be even brighter than today, since I threw my sadness away, only yesterday... '
