Of this lot of songs easily it's "Solitaire" although "Crescent Noon" is also an outstadning vocal.

I agree this was a photo finish for me but after some thought I gave the edge to Crescent Noon but really I would declare it a draw between CN and Solitaire both vocals are among Karens all time best.

Solitaire is great & has K soaring & diving & shows her vocal talent & boy can you hear her "bell like" voice. But best vocal reading Has to be Only Yesterday which has evrything in a Cs song that a Carps fan could wish for that why its me fave.. Not 2 forget All U get From Love Is A L/S which has all the trimmings of the CS at their best...nearly Tops ONLY Yest from the top of me charts it do. Nice piccy Ming Hoping to do mine on sunday so all u lot...BEWARE....I no ive been saying this 4 a long time but I need help with this thing & me mate says he will be helping me & if he dont.....Im selling him on ebay....under USED NON Animal. I chose SOLITAIRE because it IS the best of anything she ever did...it really showed off her voice to the best. It is a spine chilling song, very rangey, filled with emotion, and just soars to the rafters and then down to the basement, and sub basement...her very best!!!
My thoughts, Cam
PS. I love ONLY YESTERDAY but that song, compared to SOLITAIRE, technique wise is kinda boring...although SOLITAIRE, for me, used to be an extremely boring song....but now I adore SOLITAIRE and say it is Karen's best sung song...(AVE MARIA would be the next best, but never put it in this poll)

I picked Solitaire also. I can never understand why Karen did not like this song. I know they worked on the vocals for around four days and gave up trying to "get it right", but Karen's vocal performance is stunning.
The other songs on this poll are also wonderful and choosing favorites is like deciding between chocolate chip and raspberry swirl ice cream for me. It's all good! But, alas, Solitaire is the top!

Don't quote me on this but I seem to remember reading somwhere that Goodbye To Love was one of Karens toughest vocal interpretations due to the phrasing, in that there is no place to take a breath between phrases. It could be a different song but either way for someone without years of vocal training she executed so many songs with such control, she must have very large lungs or just been very intuitive when it came to judging the amount of air and support needed to start and end the phrasing in so many arrangements that most singers would have no choice but to breath at some point to in order to not lose pitch before ending the phrase and not sounded winded in the following verse. One thing for sure there will never be another KC. I along with all of you miss her so. My father just passed away and I know he and Karen talked about how much her talent has meant to me throughout my life the moment he reached the other side. Someday we will all get the chance to hug Karen and thank her by telling her how much her time on earth meant to us. Most of all how much love we have for her.

I think "Solitaire" is Karen's best performance. It is impossible to sing or even sing along.
