??! ??! ??! A friend of mine just sent me a disc with a remix of Karen's unreleased solo song "Keep My Lovelight Burning". It's a remix by DJ Seltzer. It's only about 2 minutes and 50 seconds and sounds great. It has a strong bass line with some unusual effects. I'd like to share it with everyone here. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can post it here for others to listen to?

Hi Rick
You'd have to tranfer the song to MP3 file format and then have to attach(upload) the file to your post..., but, there's no attachment fonction into this type of forum software.
What happened to the forum upgrade? ..., 'cause I think that maybe there was attachment feature on it. The only thing that I'm affraid of with this upgrade is to lose all the codes(smileys, etc), afraid to lose all my flashing *I Love You, Karen* signatures..., but, maybe there's a tranfer fonction for the codes to stay the same with the upgrade, I don't know.
Maybe there's some kind of attacments internet hosts out there also(like the ones for the pics - photobucket, etc...)..., something like : upload a song to the internet host and then post a link for it..., but then again, I'm not sure if there is(I didn't shop for it).
Maybe you could ask DVB3..., he did it a couple of times(links)..., maybe he knows. [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]

Hi Rick
Are you sure that the file was completely uploaded? ' cause when I download it, save it and then open it, it doesn't play. The file is only 44 bytes. I think that the file should be tranfer to MP3 format first. [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]

Hi Roland - thank you for your input. I downloaded ti to my computer from the yousendit.com file and it worked. I'm going to try a few other sources. Again thanks for your input - you are a dedicated friend.

Now it works..., in MP3 format..., good work Rick.
Unfortunately, I think this is a poor amateur mix.
..., but, it's still cool. [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]

I'm glad it works - finally it took a good amount of work for me to get it downloaded on to my computer. I usually don't have troubles with these things - but for some reason this time I did. As for the new mix I really like it quite a bit. It's more aggressive than the unfinished recording and I really like the weird guitar rhythm in the background. I also like the enhanced drum track and bass track. Whoever DJ Seltzer is I think they did a good job. Amateur - but certainly not a poor job. I think it's pretty good. I like the faster pace on this mix.

Nice, very nice. I, too, like the faster beat of the song - it might be just a bit too fast, as somewhere in between would be my preference. But, this way, it no longer "drags" which I thought it had a slight tendency to do in it's original form. Nevertheless, I like them both. I do like the fuzzy guitar all throughout keeping more of a "bottom" to the tune, and keeping it flowing, if you will. Thanks for taking the time to get it on the forum for us to listen to, Rick. It's a great listen. Tim

I guess for me Rick its too sped up and theres too much distraction in the song (noise as its called) The unfinished version by its very nature has few of these distractions and my favorite parts are not drowned out such as the agressive guitar. the cool baseline and of course Karens great vocal. There is alot of potential for this song but I really can't think of a whole lot that needs to be added to the existing track it just needs to be cleaned up and mixed so it is not so raw and sounds more crisp. Amazing even as a rough version this song is great. I love it!
Rick get those smilies working please I lost my signature! lol

Hi Enigma - I will have some time this evening. I plan on looking into the smilies issue. I have a code which will hopefully fix them. Just a note smilies are not available on the quick post thing. you need to click on reply and smilies will come up.
