I would like to promote the Carpenters to my classmates and some of my neighbours because some of them have never heard of them.Do you think it is a good idea to lend them some CDs?I hope everyone can enjoy Karen's beautiful voice. Some of them seldom listen to English songs.

Hi Enigma! How are you doing? A good way to prmote Carpenters to your classmates would be to make a short compilation disc for them. I have put together a ten song disc of one song from each of their albums released between 1969-1983. This way the new listener gets a sample of their music from the entire span of their career. I didn't include any singles as everyone knows the singles. These are the album tracks which seem to be the most popular overall from each album. I've chosen only ten songs (the next will be eleven - see note below) I feel ten songs are just enough to get someones interest, but not enough to where they would feel they didn't need to buy a disc. Here's the list: "All Of My Life" "Maybe It's You" "Let Me Be The One" "Road Ode" (sometimes I use "A Song For You" instead) "This Masquerade" "Desperado" "One More Time" "I Just Fall In Love Again" "Strength Of A Woman" "Ordinary Fool" *On my next compilation I'm going to add a song eleven which will be "Making Love In The Afternoon" from Karen's solo. Another good way to possibly get them interested is to lead them to a few Carpenters websites and forums. The Carpenters Online web address is: www.carponline.bravepages.com

This is a good way.I am afraid that my friends will break my CDs(like Ken said),so I am going to use Rick's suggestion.I will also ask them to visit www.richardandkarencarpenter.com and of course, this site. Thank you.
