Great story. Thanks for sharing Beth. I also heard "For All We Know" at Home Depot on March 17th. When the song came on my friend and I stopped talking and listened for about a minute.

!@ Wow Beth. I really find your story so interesting. Like Smoothie said Karen still shines, which I could not agree more but there is an element at work here that goes even deeper. I know when I am feeling stressed or anxious, I can listen to Karen for a while and I really feel better. Whats really unique here is that you witnessed this effect among a large group of people. It was almost as if you observing the result of a controled scientific study in which the outcome was significant or real and not chance. Like all of us have said at one time or another, Karen's voice touches the soul. What a great experience you had. Sure wish I had been there.

I absolutely agree! I always have the Carpenters in my backpack. Whether in the car or at work, I can put them in for a while and mellow out and come back to my senses. The Carpeneters' gifts are so amazing to continue to touch people through the years.

It almost does seem like a scientific study of some sort. I have noticed many times in public that when a Carpenters song comes on most people do stop and listen even if just for a half minute or so. Something about Karen's voice makes people listen atleast for a little bit. She has an effect on people.
