[glow=blue,2,300] [/glow] I'm currently working on the website update. This update will include the winners of "The First Annual Carpenters Online Awards" - the Carpy. There will also be a new favorites list. In working on this update I came to see that there really are quite a few dedicated Carpenters fans here who are always wanting to contribute to this site. And although the update is not yet complete I just wanted to say thank you to those who have contributed to it. First I want to say thank you to Moe, Tim (YesterdayOnceMore) and Enigma for their literary contributions. I also want to thank Christian, Rob813 and Tom Boats (Boat2Sail) for being a part of The Carpenters Online Awards committee. And lastly and most importantly I want to thank Roland Chayer (Karen69Roland) for being such a major part of this forum. Thank you Roland for being a part of The Carpenters Online Awards committee. Thank you very much for the Carpenters wallpaper which you spend many hours on perfecting for us to enjoy. I surely want to let you know personally that I really love the pictures you scan for us. and I know you put a lot of work into it and I humbly thank you. And to everybody else I say thank you! Beth Smoothie Beaner Cameron Dave Mariah Jim Federico Will Ming PeterUk Tracy And everybody else who makes this more than just a forum but a family of wealth, knowledge, and love. Thanks man..., I, also, want to thank all my Carpenters friends..., I love you all..., just like Karen would.
What's really cool is that everybody here has interesting and loving thoughts to share..., everyone is unique and kind..., and we're together EVERY DAY... Isn't that great?!
This is Karen and Richard's Love Temple. ;D
A particular thanks to you, Rick, who runs this site with a lot of class.
*just a little note, Rick, I didn't start to scan my pictures of The Carpenters, yet..., what I've done, so far, is to capture(choosing particular frames/images) and edit(coloring ugly spots, cuting and resizing) living image from DVD.

Well, I guess we're both sensitive men..., I cry a lot these days 'cause my best friend for 18 years(my cat Mitaine) is slowly dying..., I know I'm going to lose him in the year..., he's very old and very sick..., this is tough 'cause I'm a loner doing music, with a disease(MS) and he's always been there for me.
I cry everyday and he's still alive..., just imagine...
Sorry, if this is not Carpenters talk..., but, I'm pretty sure Mitaine recognize Eddie's guitar playing and Karen's voice. [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]

@@ First- to you, Rick. Hats off! Kudos! I have said it many, many times - and will continue to say it - you are THE man. This site is so great - it's always up-to-date, and it always looks wonderful. I know it takes a great deal of time to take care of it the way that you do. And, that's the thing - you "care" for it. And, it shows. Thank you for the time you spend, and the love you have for what you do. It shows, and it's appreciated. I agree with you that this is more like a family, and one with some awesome members. Roland and Dave, I am so sorry to hear about the pets. I have a little buddy myself - he's a beautiful Maltese that goes by the name of Scruffy - and I can't imagine what I'd do w/o him. Like you both - he's my little pal. Roland..you'll be fine, but a loss is a loss - and I understand where you both are coming from. Wish there was something I could do to make it better - I will, at least, be walking a 9.5 mile walk for all those with MS on April 2. I'll be thinking about you, my friend. All the best to everyone~~~ Tim $%

^^ :- [ this site and all who are part of it and work so hard to keep it great....I also say a big thanks!! Time I spend on the forum ..is my hideaway... there's no one else for me to share my love of the C's with. I also being a big cat fan, really can relate to losing such friends...so I'm sorry for your losses. One of my best cat buddies was a big black and white short hair..Skeeter...I had to give him to someone else, when I moved from the big city. I did lose another long hair part Himalyan named Johnny after he had surgery to get fixed. He had some kind of reaction to the anesthetic I think. Anyway, so it goes...
