X - wow this is a tough one. but there must be an X word somewhere that would fit. Okay I've come up with one. It's a long shot, but I think it works. X is for the Roman numeral five. Here are a few Carpenters X releases. "Now and then" was their fifth album release. "Rainy Days And Mondays" was their fifth single release. The Carpenters scored five number two hits. I'm pretty sure you meant 10..., X is 10 in roman numbers.
Good Carpenters info on 5 though..., or V in roman numbers. [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]

You are so right Roland. X is the Roman numeral ten. So here goes with Carpenters X releases "Goodbye To Love" is the Carpenters tenth single release (that counting the release of "Merry Christmas Darling". "Christmas Portrait" is the Carpenters' tenth album release. "Top Of The World" was the Carpenters' tenth top ten hit.

Looks like 10 is even more luckey than 5 for the Carpenters interesting connections on both accounts. Now on to Y. Y You a truely beautiful song off AKOH record this song and INTBIL are the few things that keep me listening to this record and is proof that even at their lowest The Carpenters could still create some real Gems. I truely love this Randy Edelman song. Tip of the hat to you Randy you wrote a great song and only Karen could make this great song greater; I love it!

WELL, hmmmm ok Z is not easy..so to get us over that hump...perhaps... I can end this round...by just saying that I don't think that any of their songs contained the word: ZEBRA... and /or KAREN AND RICHARD COULD BE QUITE ::)ZANY WITH THEIR ANTICS IN THEIR SHOWS

$% A Adrian, John...."Softly" as he was known in the Carpenters circle, fell madly in love with Karen as he became their promotions manager at one point in their career. It seemed Karen was also very taken with Adrian, but someone within the Carpenters inner circle (not Richard) made a call to Derek Green to "fire" Adrian, making him think this was Karen's doing - and Karen was made to think that Adrian wanted nothing more to do with her, at that time. It was a contrived and terrible thing to have done, as some feel this truly would have been the "love" Karen had been seeking that would have/could have made a difference in her life. It would be 15 years after the incident that Adrian would be told the real truth about what happened. @@

Its patetic that someone would want to sabatage Karen and Johns happiness I wonder who did it and why. What an underhanded and decetful way to do as well. John must have been both mad and devestated when he found out the truth what kind of people were surrounding Karen that would do things like that no wonder her romances were non existant or short lived...such a shame. Back to the letter B B is for Baby Its You I just love Karens vocals on this song she just hits it out of the park on this song I almost jump out of my skin whenever I hear it. I love this song! &^ *%

C for Crocker Citizen's Bank
It was this bank's commercial that inspired Richard to record "We've Only Just Begun" in May of 1970.

Just like in the 8 episodes of *Make Your Own Kind Of Music* in the summer of 1971..., they had a similar letter game..., and everytime the letter *K* came up, it was *K* for Karen.
