Very different & Brilliant specially the Reprise at the end. When I 1st heard it tho I got cross as Y O M was joined on to the other tracks & also it wasnt till later that I found out that earlier copies had the green label & all the 5 copies I got over the years had the later design label....I know I know Im a sad man.

???Gave it 5 stars....the whole album is a fun one because those songs are still popular and classics... Very clever idea for an album. The disk jockey parts and reprise make it all come together wonderfully.

5 stars. I love the idea of linking the songs by adding a DJ. But I don't like the parts Richard sing. I think Karen's version of' The end of the world' is the best song of this medley.

This is a great medley and I always enjoyed singing along with these songs. They are put together very well. Although, my favorite is "Johnny Angel", I also like "Night has a thousand eyes" too. I like Karen's harmony with Richard's lead.

Five Stars
This is one excellent medley. I'd have to say probably the best medley ever recorded. I especially love how the reprise of "Yesterday Once More" pulls it all together for a wonderful very remiscent sound and feel to it.
I like are the songs in the medley quite a bit but my favorites are; "Johnny Angel", "Our Day Will Come" and "One Fine Day". I especially love the beautiful vocal harmonies in the opening of "Johnny Angel".
Of the songs with Richard's lead vocal I like "Fun, Fun, Fun" the best.

Ah the classic Oldies Medley! Aside from my usual praise for Karen's sterling vocal performances, isn't it also fun to hear her playing some upbeat material behind her drum-set? Furthermore, it shouldn't go without saying that Richard's Beach-boy-esque lead vocals are best suited to this sort of material, and he truly does a terrific job.
"Now and Then" was recorded during a period when the Carpenters were touring heavily and had precious little time to find or write new material, let alone record it. Remember also, that the album was the first one solely produced by Rich & Karen, and they were tweaking the Singles 69-73 collection around the same time too. So to record a Medley which not only demonstrated their versatility and humor at a time when they were being slated for being bland, helped ease their recording pressures, AND which also reflected the public revival of the Oldies at the time, was really quite a clever tactic. 5 Stars.
