Another awesome song! She sings this song as if it were tailored to her vocals. And the high note she hits near the end is beautiful. She just adds her warmth and charisma to this powerfully, underrated song.

This one is a gem. The music is classical. The prayer is 'classical' in that it is rendered in Latin and is a traditional prayer that stands the test of time. Many generations have prayed this prayer and continue to do so today.
Richard plays in his best style. Karen sings from the soul. Her voice is warm, strong ... beautiful. If you have seen the TV Christmas special they featured this song on you also know that they were completely formal in both appearance and the handling of this wonderful piece of music.
This is the Carpenters at their "classical" best!

Five Stars
Breath taking
Inspiring
Beautiful
This song is a true work of art. In it's simplicity the song carries an intensity. Karen Carpenter could have performed this song A Capella and it still would have been just as effective - it not more.
Pure classic all the way.

I am SO glad that I found this double album for my wife, because it certainly has some hidden gems. A lot of the radio stations around here seem to have found it as well, and are playing the "Old Fashioned" songs more often.
