Five Stars
I love the fact that these two songs are combined into a medley. The song moves along beautifully. It begins with a peppy rendition of "it's Christmas Time" then seamlessly moves into a beautiful and lush "Sleep Well Little Children". Karen sings this lullaby with grace and sweetness.

Grace and sweetness- a good description. Such a comforting number; one that puts me at ease and relaxes me. Indeed, I can see this as a fitting ending, perhaps, to a busy and reflective Christmas Eve, with rest coming before the anticipation fo the big day.

I think I tuned in too late for the rating on this one, but anyway, I would give it 5 stars. I don't recall hearing either one of these songs until I heard them on Ch. Portrait. "It's Chistmas Time" reminds me of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" because of the tempo and the wording ..sounds very classical and Charles Dickens-ish....people from "A Christmas Carol" waltzing and etc. I think that would be a hard one to sing because of the wording and rithym, but no problem for Karen of course, her voice is so very flexible, reaching from hi to low on both songs, with ease. "Sleep Well Little Children"....is a very smooth and calming song and a bit of melancholy to it also. The tremendous and amazing choirs in the background on all these are just like hearing angels (at least what I imagine an angel would sound like!"

Sleep Well is a lullaby in purest fashion. The joys and anticipation of Christmas is exemplified in this pairing of songs.

I gave this one 5 big stars, also. I really like the entire arrangement of these two wonderful songs. The classical baroque piano on It's Christmas Time is indeed a treat, and Richard captures it perfectly note by note. This arrangement was written especially for him, and he will not release it on sheet music. I enjoy the choir on these numbers, as well. And of course, the voice of the angel herself. Karen sings both songs wonderfully, but I'm especially fond of the beautiful lullabye that is Sleep Well Little Children. No one does it better than this! What a beautiful song that just captures the essence of Karen's voice. Nice, nice, NICE!!! Tim
