Greetings everyone! It's that time of year when Karen Carpenter's beautiful voice graces the airwaves all around the world for the holiday season. We'll be hearing "Merry Christmas Darling" and "There's No Place Like) Home For The Holidays" on a daily basis... oh and it will be holiday heaven! The season also represents an increased amount of CD sales for Carpenters, primarily “Christmas Portrait.” Last year the album sold extremely well and made it to and new peak position of #114 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart. This year we aim at putting the album into the Top 100. The only way we can do this is if every single die-hard Carpenters fan gets involved. In order to get all the fans involved I have started a campaign to Put Christmas Portrait into the Top 100. It is headquartered at my website leadsister.com the URL to the campaign is leadsister.com/?page_id=597Please visit the campaign page and help us to get our cherished "Chritmas Portrait" into the top 100. And please share the headquarters URL with everyone you know. Let's do it... Let's put "Christmas Portrait" into the Top 100 this year!

Greetings all... We are now in the second week of the "Christmas Portrait" campaign. Last year the album made it all the way to #114 on Billboard's album chart and this year our goal is to put it into the Top 100. If you wish to join us in this campaign please visit our campaign headquarters @ leadsister.com/?page_id=597 for more information. Please share the link to this headquarters page with everyone you know the only way we will accomplish this goal is in numbers. The more people involved the better our chances of putting "Christmas Portrait" into the Top 100. Other news in campaign progress. Jack Spinetta was added to the Santa's Nice List over the weekend... Let's get more names on the "Nice List." Please share these images if you wish:

Week 3 of our "Let's Put Christmas Portrait into the Top 100" is here. So far the start up is fairly slow. At this point in time there are about a dozen Christmas/Holiday albums in Billboard's Top 200 albums chart and surprisingly "Christmas Portrait" is not one of them. Last year the album made it all the way to #114 we can do it this year with a little push and a lot of teamwork from all of us. Please share the following URL with all your friends: leadsister.com/?page_id=597 this is the "Christmas Portrait" campaign headquarters. You can also visit us at Karen Carpenter Magazine to read up on some of the latest in the campaign: www.facebook.com/groups/321040037161/Read more: karencarpenter.boards.net/thread/45/christmas-portrait-2013#ixzz2kM9CANfY

We're finally hitting the homestretch and it looks like our goal is with in reach. This week "Christmas Portrait" has moved up to #115 up from 139 last week. That's a move of 24 spots. That is excellent. It is so close to the Top 100... I just know we can do this. Last year it made it up to #114 and that was the week after Christmas. In these last few days let's spread this thing and get people to purchase the album. Please share the following links for those who purchase online: Share the link to “Christmas Portrait” headquarters with all your friends: leadsister.com/?page_id=597Here you will find information on how we can move "Christmas Portrait" up the charts.. Here’s a direct link to “Christmas Portrait” on amazon.com: www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002GHQ/ref=nosim/populasongsmu-20…and here’s the MP3 link: www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000W25AJC/ref=nosim/populasongsmu-20Just to clear up some confusion the purchase of the double disc collection “Christmas Collection” will not help get “Christmas Portrait” back on the charts. Only the purchase of “Christmas Portrait” will do the trick.

37 years after it was originally released, CHRISTMAS PORTRAIT has reached a new peak ranking on the Billboard 200 album chart. For the week ending December 26, it finally broke into the top 100 with a ranking of 98! But the news gets even better. For the chart week ending January 2, 2016, it jumped up another 5 spots to a new all-time peak of 93! This is certainly a testament to the enduring popularity of the Carpenters and to the beautiful music that they created so many years ago.
