Hello everyone. I thought I had better let you know a little bit more about me after Ricks' wonderful introduction to me as one of the sites new moderators.
I am from England, originally from the coastal resort of Blackpool and now living in a beautiful part of the country called the Forest of Dean. I am very close to the welsh border.
I am married with 2 grown up children who have both flown the nest. I am owned by 2 girl, terrier dogs and 2 boy, oriental cats.
I am not working at the moment as I had a nervous breakdown a couple of years ago, which I am still recovering from, along with some other health problems. The thing that helps keep me sane though is........................................music.
I came to have full access to a computer nearly 2 years ago and have found out what a wonderful place it can be. I have a myspace page: www.myspace.com/jcb_jill and through this I have made some wonderful friends around the world. I have managed to speak to some on the phone and had the pleasure of meeting some, including one myspace friend who visited England from San Diego, USA.
I am looking forward to being part of The Avenue and am currently reading through some of the forums on here to get up to speed.
I love most types of music and will tell you about some of my favourites another time. I think that is enough about me for now.

Jill, I thank you wholeheartedly for joining us here at The Avenue. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
Keep on truckin' my friend. Things can only continue to get better!
I don't have any pets because I am very allergic to all fur. I'm even allergic to birds. But, I do love seeing pictures of my friends pets. Sometime you'll have to share some pics. If you don't know how to post them on the forum just email me and you know I'll walk you through the process.

A big welcome to you, Jill. I have a Welsh friend, the wonderful musician James Fox. If you check out my MySpace page - you'll have to send a friend request cause it's set to private - but on that page, James dedicated a song to me called Leave Me Alone. I was blown away - I was watching on the web cam. It was a pretty cool thing. Another friend who lives in London, gave me the video link to put up on my page. James is a big Simpsons fan, and when she told him I lived in "Springfield" - well, you'll just have to watch his reaction. It's a great song.
I wish you all the best here - you'll immediately find you're among good friends on this forum. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
