So cool to be back on the avenue! Congratulations on your huge success with the battle of the bands, Rick! I hope everyone had a good time and I'm looking forward to hear from you! I'll head off on vacation tomorrow - but "I'll be back!"

I sure missed everyone and have had much continued happiness in listening to The Carpenters, especially "A Kind Of Hush", and have had some good conversations. I look forward to much interaction. Have a great vacation CG!

Hi everyone! Nice to be back with all of you. I've also had a vacation during this time and even had some time to do more to "Karen's Kondo". Check it out and please, remember to sign my guestbook and let me know what you think. I always welcome visitors to my dollhouse. Beaner www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?username=nymag

Woah! That Tommy Byers is one fortunate individual to have you in his corner, Rick. Nice job of securing all of the valuable prizes of on-air interview time, and studio time (it don't come cheap).....you've some amazing connections to get all of that accomplished for this guy. Good on you for all your hard work. Tim

Hey Rick, thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to check out my "Karen's Kondo" pics out. I'm going to keep your color schemes in mind for sure, perhaps for the finishing touches of the patio deck.
The color of the house itself will be gray and lavender trim so the lavender will come into play where it's close enough to purple for now.
I like the orange and brown theme for either the patio deck or maybe some outdoor furniture.
This is so much fun, I'm glad I'm able to share it with all of you who can relate. Friends and such that I am able to show this in person to are usually younger than me and aren't all that familiar with the C's so all they can admire is the workmanship, etc.
Keep checking cause I'm hoping to paint the outside of the house very soon, perhaps this weekend.

Beaner Hey Mary Ann, you are aware that I visited Karen's Kondo and left you some comments, right? I wanted to be sure you saw them. I too think you put an immense amount of wonderful work into that Kondo - and I, like Rick, love the extra touches - like the Mickey Mouse in the living room I think it was.....and those little tiny replicas of Carpenter magazine articles, etc. GREAT stuff. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it with us, cause I'm not sure there's any group of folk who would appreciate it more!!! BRAVO! Tim

Yes, Tim, I sure did see your comments in the guest book. I thought I wrote you directly from work about it but I guess I meant to and then never got the chance.
Have a great rest of the week!!!!

I just love that photo in the background at the moment - can anybody (Rick-san?) tell me more about it? I hope everybody had a swell time this summer - I'm back at work and it's so tiring...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (((((())))))(((((()))))((((()))))((((((())))))))(((((((()))))))(((((((()))))) WOW! I've missed our avenue and it's exciting to be back especially to know what everyone has been up to. The summer will be gone before we know it. I haven't checked out all there is on the Christian site Rick, but it looks like you've made many new friends and co-workers in the process. Very very impressive! I'm so proud for you! glad you got some rest too. Beaner Karen's Kondo is Wonderful! I love all of your Carpenterville! You are really blessed to have such fun and talent!!! Hope everyone has survived all the horrendous weather all over... It has been an especially challenging time for many...from floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and the terrible wild fires! I'm thankful to so far not been affected by any of those, but my heart goes out to all who have. Currently, I'm enjoying some cooler weather and a bit of much needed rain. I mostly have stayed indoors, although I did some traveling throughout Tx. with my sister who now lives much closer to me than she did since she has a new teaching job. Soon I face some health decisions nothing drastic and so I look forward to getting some answers concerning thyroid problems. I've been waiting a long time to acquire some answers. Things seem overall to be on the "up" side for me and that's always a good thing.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ more later
I also just wanted to add that I really love the videos of the C's on the avenue. Splendid way also for those "just passing through" to get to know the C's, or renew their love of them once again.
Thanks for the information. Reading about and listening to Tommy Byers, it is clear that he has a great gift, and a genuinely outstanding spirit with which to use it. While I don't follow the music scene really closely, I can say that you have for sure found and helped develop, an outstanding individual here!
