I've always tried to level with you eye to eye I finally FOUND the devil in you by and by - "Last One Singin' The Blues" from Karen's solo album... Karen had guts... she had spunk... that's why I loved her.

When you wrote Karen "had spunk" I flashed back to a Mary Tyler Moore clip when Mary is in Lou's office and he is talking to Mary about spunk. He finally bursts out with "I hate spunk!" Funny. I agree with you, though. Karen had spunk ;-)

In my mind it's the best of the ensemble cast sitcoms. You just can't beat Rhoda, Phyllis, Lou Grant, Ted Knight, Georgette, Sue Ann Nivens (great character), Murray Slaughter and others - what a show!
It is evident that Karen had spunk and was daring in her own right.

I love the song... great early tune.
off-topic... I saw that episode of MTM where Rhoda is standing there moving her arms while Mary does jumping jacks. That was a funny episode. I really enjoyed the Chuckles The Clown funeral episode - that one was dark humor at some of it's very best.
