Which Carpenters and / or Karen Carpenter song does the picture below make you think of?

hi Rick...Perhaps "Let Me Be the One"...since she seems to say " I'm here, maybe if we talk it over I can help."

What an interesting pic of Karen. What year was this taken? I like it because it's not a posed shot. I reminds me of one of their earlier songs. Eve comes to mind. Actually, I thought of Liza Minelli when I see this pic of Karen. Her eyes look so large. Good posting Rick.

Great song choices from everybody.
I see this picture as being sleek, sophisticated, modern and very New York. Although this pic is from 1974, I'm inclined to liken it to one of her solo songs from 1979/1980. Which would be "Guess I Just Lost My Head". I chose this song because of the slight smile Karen has on her face. Her smile is somewhat coy, demure and artfully playful - just as the song is.

This picture was sent to me from a friend. I have something around 1,000 photos of Karen, Richard, Karen and Richard and band, family, etc. Most of the pictures I have, have been sent to me through email.
This is one of my favorites of Karen. She looks absolutely stunning.

Hi guys. This picture is from the Carpenters 1973 souvenir tour brochure. I managed to buy this through memorabilia magazine "Record Collector" about 3/4 years ago for approx £20, which is brilliant considering that they don't come up for sale often, and on a trip to New York in 2000, I saw two C's tour brochures selling at $175 each!
If anyone's interested, and I get chance, I'll scan these, so people who haven't seen them can take a look (don't see them online often). They are all from the same shoot as this photo.

Although an ok picture, for some reason it just doesn`t remind me of Karen....It certainly is very different.

This picture makes me imagine Karen stopping for a quick photo shoot in a "big city" club in the dressing room, then going on stage to sing "Masquerade" in dimly lit , smoky club and everyone wearing 70's style clothes.

Actually, to me, this picture looks like DID pose for it. I'm not really that tickled by it but as for the song....she looks like she's dressed a bit eloquently so I will say "I Can Dream Can't I".

L Thanks for the good info Leo. You certainly did get a great deal on tour brochure. I would love to see the other pictures in this brochure. I sure do like the picture posted in this thread. It's a more sophisticated look for Karen. Her hair is beautifully smooth. She looks young and healthy, it's a beautiful pose. Just knowing about Karen's plight with image, I'm sure this is a look and style she probably wanted to explore further.
