Louis Johnson of Brothers Johnson, who co-wrote "I'll Be Good to You," played bass for Karen's solo album and A&M boss Herb Alpert's album "Rise." Yes, GoodOldDreams... one of the connections is Louis Johnson who played bass on Karen's solo album. He sure added some great funktified grooves to Karen's album. But the other connection is not his work with Herb Alpert so much as the fact that Brothers Johnson also recorded for A&M Records - the same company that K&R recorded with.
