THis song is truly a gem on this album. It's so understated...and any listener's truest dream...just to hear a fantastic singer accompanied at the beginning with just a piano. She showcases her vocals to fantastic effect...simplistic, pure and with real depth. She just sings the heck out of this song. Whereas THIS MASQUERADE is very refined, very produced, this song goes a notch simpler with wonderful results. Akin to singer-songwriter status. A very, underrated tune but one that just shows off her emotional reading...

Get a kick out of your statement that she "really sings the heck out of the song" ...Truly she does. I gave it 5 stars. When I hear it though I always think...Oh dear....Karen saying she can't make music...what a deal... And so truly I can relate about what you say Ken.

Five Stars
This is a five star song all the way. This is my favorite song from the album. I love Karen's dark and mysterious voice. This is such a great song all the way around but it's Karen's voice that really brings this one above and beyond. She really brings the words to life.

Richard's expert use of strings on this arrangement is especially pleasing to the ear. Karen's impressive vocal reminds me of dark chocolate. I save this song for rainy days and it never loses it's heartbreaking appeal. Yes, you can make music.
5 Stars. L
