I have tried to like this song which Richard sings with flurish but I even after all these years just tolerate it. R does a good job. 2 Stars C1000

I wish that Karen were still alive today so they could re-record this truly great musical masterpiece. I think they could have done even more with it than they did back then, as Nowadays is just a great all around song in my opinion, because of various factors. First, the time signature bouncing back and forth from 4/4 to 6/4 and back again. Plus, the lush vocals and the overall texture of the song I find just jazzy and appealing. Good job!

5-stars
This is easily my favorite song from this album. It has a great sense of energy about it. The song was written by Neil Young who happens to be one of my alltime favorite singer/songwriters.
Richard's keyboard work accented by Karen's drumming is outstanding. The musicianship on the song is amazing for a first album. Karen and Richard went all the way with this one. I love the blending of Karen and Richard's voices in the chorus and harmony part. Out of this world.
The song is somewhat folk with a jazz and pop/rock influence. Definitely not your typical Carpenters I think that's why I like it so much.

I don't like the song but I do like the way Karen and Richard do it.

Four stars for this great rendition! In fact, I like it better than the original Neil Young version. I enjoy the interplay between R's wistful lead vocals, K's backup phrasing and the bold "fat" chord on the word "sing..." The orchestration is just splendid!

Rich's arrangement on this track is really cool, and compared to some of the others on "Offering", it's retained a really contemporary edge. Excellent performance. 4 Stars. L
