[glow=red,2,300][/glow] Glad to meet you Beaner and Dave ...those cookies sound great...they're too cute though to eat! Dave, your family's upstairs?.. Wow, this DVD you speak of sounds soo very awesome! What a disappointment for all the astronauts and Nasa...maybe things will soon smooth out for them... Hey Rick, I sure like all these gorgeous flowers you brought! And I see you brought what's (the hand) from the Addams family...(?)..along...hey he's one weird dude! We can always use an extra Hand...(yes, that's silly of me) thot he was just a camera trick...on tv....ha.. I'm too excited...maybe I'll go upstairs and watch some tapes w/ Dave's family...

I wish I had the capability to transfer from LP to CD but I don't. I have so many other artists on LP's that I'd like to copy. Same with so many of my 45's.

The flowers do add a nice touch to this basement. I love this old comfy couch.
Dave, Karen's solo is still out there and it's pretty easy to find on the internet such as at Amazon.com.
I bought all Carpenters albums on vinyl originally, several of them on 8-track tape, most of them on cassette. and now I've bought all of them on CD ,plus many many imports and oddball Carpenters releases.
Excuse me all! I here someone knocking on the door. Let me run up to answer it. Maybe it's one of our guests.

::)Yes, I'm a hugger Rick how very nice! Ok....I understand that Dave's around and I heard not his family upstairs...but be great to see everybody... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I agree that it would be Terrific to be able to transfer all my Lp's onto Cd's...I know a place I think that can do that...perhaps even a nephew or 2 of mine can although I don't have a SACD player...even the remastered music on cd s sound 100 per cent better than the lp s I hope the C's music doesn't become too unavailable, but I know some of it already has Close to You was my very first C's record about 1972(?) I'm not familiar with the Lifescapes that's been mentioned.

Thanks for the nice thoughts. I've listened to the "Lifescapes" album once, and I must be getting old or something because I really like it. I actually suggested that the NASA folks check the electrical connectors to and from what they call the "point sensor box". When they had this problem in March, they changed the box and the problem went away. The connectors they use I've used and had problems with. I told them where to look and what to look for, and I hope that it works. If they can launch next Sunday, that'll be the best birthday present I can ask for.
Hey "E", welcome aboard!

Kathy, I don't think you have to worry about Carpenters music becoming absolete. they will be around for quite some time to go. Carpenters music will be around long after our generation has come and gone.
Look everybody one of our special guests is here.
It's, it's JOHNNY DEPP!
Come on in Johnny! Make yourself comfortable!Hi Gang! Where's the Aquafina?

My wife's watching her program, Philip's watching "Napoleon Dynamite", and at the top of the hour I'm gonna go watch "Battlestar Galactica". Some of it's too intense, and I'd hate to get us kicked out of the basement!
