9-8-7 We have a "go" for main engine start (muffled thumps as three SSME's come to life) 4-3-2-1 Booster ignition, and we have liftoff! As soon as I get a gallon of Southern iced tea, and swing past Tim's (hey Tim, just leave it on the roof!) we'll be there in a few seconds...

Hi Mary Ann! Wonderful to see you! Dave is here. I see Smoothie hanging around. The others should be here momentarily.
Come on in make yourself at home. What's in the bag? Looks like a good treat.
Help yourself to some Suntory Pop, Tim brought it by earlier since he's unable to make it tonight.

So, I post one place and then another...ok...well, earlier today, I ate too much Chinese buffet... anyway, it looks like somehow I'll make an appearance w/ or w/out the adorable Topher... and hope to have something for the party like Good A.Fina lotta nice stuff gonna happen I think... there won't be any fireworks allowed in the city and we must not have the music t00000 Loud ..and how about a Sha Na Na record?....They were a fun group who performed all the great oldies from 50's and 60's and had a tv show for a while... I think Karen and Rich would definitely like all this... someone catch me if Richard walks in...i'll faint! ha.. ;D

I brought a bag filled with sugar cookies shaped like little K's and little R's for Karen and Richard. Take one, they're good.

I'm here...just gotta find a place to park so that no one gets burned on the engine bells. Karen (my wife) and Philip are upstairs watching "Napoleon Dynamite" so I couldn't bring it along. While he and I were in Target yesterday buying this DVD, I bought the DVD for "The Five People You Meet In Heaven", and a "Lifescapes" CD titled "Above The Clouds". I first saw this CD last winter, but never had time to pick it up. The song titles sent me into tears at the time. Here they are, in order: "Above The Clouds" (where the space shuttles fly) "Pilgrim's Journey" (a journey I never knew I was on) "The Winding Path" (remember the photo of I-64 I sent you back in February? A euphemism for my life...) "Secret Garden" (the last dream I had about Karen) "A Chance Encounter" (the encounter in DC with a CAIB member who encouraged me) "Sailboat In The Sky" (we can figure this out, right?) "Yearning" (my desire to contribute something, anything worthwhile so there are no more tragedies) "Spirit Child" (I guess I never really did grow up...) "Never Letting Go" (too much emotion...) "Lover's Tears" (the many, many tears I have shed during this journey" "Flower Rain" (the initial dreams I had a year ago) "On The Wings Of An Angel" (you know who the angel is...) "Falling" (that terrible February morning in 2003, like the one in 1983...) "A New Day" (When Discovery lifts off the pad, and returns safely, a new day will have dawned)

Smoothie (Kathy)! Hugs and more hugs to you! I am so happy to see you tonight! Thank you for bringing the Aquafina - it's the water that puts me on top of the world - okay a little cheesy on my part.
Yeah how about some Sha Na Na - Roland should be here soon with the CD's.
Thanks Mary Ann! I love sugar cookies. How creative of you shaped in little K's and R's. Don't mind if I have a few.
Munch, munch, munch!

I read somewhere that Karen's solo is no longer in production. Is that so? Maybe we'll eventually have to special order our C's albums. I hope not.

I get so sad when I see Carpenter Albums at yard sales. They are usually is such rough shape. I would buy them all but as it is now, I have all of their original albums plus a couple imports and then I had to buy all new albums because the others were played so much. Soon after that, the CD era hit and guess what. Yep, had to have all those too plus As Time Goes By.

Dave I really like the LIFESCAPE series. They've come out with different collections featuring various themes and genres.
Mary Ann I have "Time" on CD, but that's because I burned my vinyl copy to disc. One of these days I will have to buy a real edition of it. Universal should really rerelease it.
NEWSFLASH: Tonight I have two very special guests showing up. They should be here any minute.
