This is truly a beautiful song in message and music and Karen's voice does excellent justice to the number. I noticed, looking through the cover info., that the name Ray Charles is listed among the credits- is that THE Ray Charles?

Hi O.E., The answer to your question is in my post on the background of each song on this album at: carponline.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=albums&action=display&thread=1163485652under the sections for "Christ is Born" and "Carol of the Bells." Apparently "Ray Charles" was a common shortened stage name for at least a couple of people in the music business. The Ray Charles you are thinking of was only a few years old when "Christ is Born" was first published.

Five-Stars
Karen was born to sing this hymn. Her voice is perfect as she sings praises to the baby Jesus on the celebration of His birth.
